Canadian defenseman who never managed to earn a spot in the NHL. Played one preseason game with the Chicago Blackhawks en 2010 but broke his ankle in the AHL shortly afterwards.
Came to Germany in 2011, using his German ancestry. His mother was born in Germany, though she never spoke German with him.
Played his first game in national team two years later vs Switzerland. Olympic silver medalist in 2018.
Unspectacular but pretty well-rounded in all areas of the game. Hard shot. Leadership qualities.
Nicknamed "Mr. Zuverlässig" (Mr. Reliable) by his teammates in Munich.

Défenseur canadien qui n'a jamais pu trouver une place en NHL. Il a joué un match de pré-saison avec les Chicago Blackhawks en 2010 mais s'est cassé la cheville en AHL peu après.
Arrivé en Allemagne en 2011 en utilisant son passeport. Sa mère est née en Allemagne même si elle ne lui a jamais parlé allemand.
Premier match en équipe nationale deux ans plus tard contre la Suisse. Vice-champion olympique 2018.
Peu spectaculaire mais compétent dans tous les compartiments du jeu. Lancer puissant. Des qualités de meneur d'hommes.
Surnommé "Mr. Zuverlässig" (Monsieur Fiable) par ses partenaires à Munich.
