In the 1960s Miroslav Gojanović scored 121 goals in 175 league games.
In 1970, Tone Gale agent Al Kaczmarek, a former Chicago Spurs pro soccer team owner, brought three Yugoslav international players to Chicago Blackhawks NHL training camp (the third one being Rudi Hiti). Gojanović was promised to study dentistry but when he was assigned to play for a farm team for a lower-paid contract he preferred to go home to Zagreb.
His son Damir became the president of Medveščak Zagreb.

Dans les années 1960, Miroslav Gojanović a marqué 121 buts en 175 matchs de championnat.
En 1970, Al Kaczmarek, ancien propriétaire de la brève équipe professionnelle de football (soccer) des Chicago Spurs et agent de Tone Gale, emmène deux autres joueurs de l'équipe nationale de Yougoslavie (l'autre étant Rudi Hiti) au camp NHL des Chicago Blackhawks. Lorsqu'il est assigné à une équipe-ferme avec un salaire plus faible, Gojanović, à qui l'on avait promis des études pour devenir dentiste, décide de rentrer dans son pays, sans prévenir le manager Tommy Ivan qui terrorise tous les joueurs.
Son fils Damir est devenu président du Medveščak Zagreb.
