Born and grew up in Riga together with his parents Modris (Former hockey player) & Vivita Grigals, plus two brothers, Oskars & Arturs.
Moved to North America in 2017. Went on to play university hockey for Alaska-Fairbanks and studied Business Administration. 
Big, quick and athletic goaltender with tremendous work ethic and practice habits.

Il a grandi à Riga avec ses parents Modris (ancien hockeyeur) et Vivita Grigals, plus deux frères, Oskars et Arturs.
Parti en Amérique du nord en 2017, il a joué au hockey universitaire pour Alaska-Fairbanks et y a étudié l'administration des affaires. 
Grand gardien (188 cm) rapide et athlétique avec de fantastiques habitudes de travail à l'entraînement.
