Grew up idolizing Ed Giacomin. Combined good angle play with quick reflexes.
Stood up well and didn't get flustered. Good intensity and concentration. Did not leave big rebounds.
Took away a lot of the low net. Lateral movement improved over the years.
Sometimes fell into the habit of staying too deep in the net.
Used stick effectively around net but didn't handle the puck much outside his net.
Retired in 2001. Went on to work as associate host on Fox Sports Prime Ticket for Anaheim Ducks home games.

Il a grandi avec Ed Giacomin pour idole. Il combinait une bonne gestion des angles et des réflexes rapides.
Il résistait bien et ne s'énervait pas. Il ne laissait pas de gros rebonds. Bonne intensité et concentration.
Il bouchait une grande partie du bas du filet. Son mouvement latéral s'est amélioré au fil des ans.
Il se laissait parfois aller à l'habitude de rester trop profondément dans son but.
Il utilisait efficacement sa crosse autour de la cage mais s'en éloignait peu pour jouer le palet.
Retraité en 2001, il est devenu consultant télé pour Fox Sports lors des rencontres à domicile des Anaheim Ducks.
Totaux NHL : 491 parties de saison régulière avec des moyennes de 2,81 buts encaissés par match et de 90,9% d'arrêts.
