Younger brother of Rudi Hiti.
Born in the village of Kurja Vas, Jesenice. Studied physical education. Represented Yugoslavia 191 times, scoring 181 points (94+87). Was an All-Star at the 1973 and 1974 Pool B World Championships. Also selected as the best forward in 1974. Had a contract offer from Atlanta Flames in the NHL.
Finished his hockey career in Italy in 1987. Legendary player in Yugoslavia. When he played with his brother in Ljubljana, the crowd used to chant "Rudi Hiti, Gorazd Hiti, gol, gol, gol!", whenever one of them scored. Eventually turned to coaching.

Frère cadet de Rudi Hiti. Né dans le village de Kurja Vas, voisin de Jesenice, ce diplômé en éducation physique sera sélectionné 191 fois en équipe nationale de Yougoslavie, pour 181 points (94+87). Inclus dans l'équipe-type des Mondiaux B de 1973 et 1974, il fut également désigné meilleur attaquant de l'édition 74. Refusa une offre de contrat des Atlanta Flames, la franchise NHL qui précéda les Calgary Flames.
Conclut sa carrière en 87 après un passage en Italie. Lui et son frère Rudi sont devenus des légendes du hockey yougoslave et slovène. Quand ils jouèrent ensemble à Ljubljana, la foule chantait "Rudi Hiti, Gorazd Hiti, gol, gol, gol !" chaque fois que l'un des deux marquait un but, ce qui arrivait souvent. Devenu entraîneur.
