Calm and mentally strong. Good positioning and ability to challenge shooters with his big frame. Quick lateral movement.
Average rebound control. His five-hole might be a weakness too.
He communicates a lot with his defenders and gives instructions with a loud voice.
Left to the United States at 18 and was named USHL goaltender of the year in his first North American year (2015/16).
Unexpectedly chosen as the starting goaltender during World Championship quarterfinal 2021 vs the USA (1-6).

Gardien calme et mentalement fort. Son positionnement est sa force : il sait boucher l'angle des attaquants avec son grand gabarit (192 cm, 91 kg) et a des déplacements latéraux rapides.
Son contrôle des rebonds est plus moyen. Les tirs entre ses jambes peuvent aussi constituer une faiblesse.
Il communique beaucoup avec ses défenseurs et on l'entend donner ses instructions.
Parti aux États-Unis à 18 ans, il a été nommé gardien de l'année en USHL à sa première saison nord-américaine (2015/16).
Titulaire inattendu pour le quart de finale des championnats du monde 2021 contre les États-Unis (1-6).
