Played a total of 392 league games, scoring 354 goals. He was a five time Polish champion and won the domestic scoring title on four occasions. Finished his playing career in Germany where he moved in the mid 1980s. One of the best goal scorers in Polish history.
Was a league All-Star in 1980 and 1981. Voted Polish player of the year and best forward in 1981 and 1982. Won the "Przeglad Sportowy" player of the year award 1979 and 1981 to 1983. Represented Poland 125 times, scoring 88 goals. Was selected to the 1985 Pool B World Championships All-Star team.
His greatest moment came at the 1976 World Championships in Katowice. In front of a frenzied home crowd Jobczyk scored three goals, including the game winner in a 6-4 upset of the mighty Soviet team. Worked as an expert commentator on various Polish TV channels.

Nous parlons ici d'un chasseur d'exception, auteur de 354 buts en 392 matches, cinq fois champion de Pologne et quatre fois meilleur buteur du championnat. Une référence du poste en Pologne.
Soumis à la tentation de propositions d'exil de clubs occidentaux dès l'âge junior, il eut l'autorisation de son employeur officiel (les mines de Sosnowiec où il n'a jamais vraiment travaillé) de partir en Allemagne de l'Ouest à 31 ans. Il finira d'ailleurs sa carrière là-bas.
Élu dans l'équipe-type du championnat polonais en 1980 et 1981, joueur polonais de l'année (et meilleur attaquant) en 1981 et 1982, lauréat de trois prix du hockeyeur de l'année remis par le journal "Przeglad Sportowy" (1979, 1981, 1983). 125 sélections nationales, 88 buts dont le décisif qui permit à la Pologne de signer une victoire historique 6-4 contre l'URSS lors des Mondiaux de Katowice en 1976. Jobczyk n'avait alors que 22 ans, jouait pour le Baildon local et inscrivit en tout trois buts lors de la compétition... que la Pologne finit à la dernière place.
Devenu consultant hockey pour la TV polonaise à son retour d'Allemagne.
