Positionally strong blueliner. Never flashy but always consistent. Willing to sacrifice for the team. Often stayed back and allowed the attackers to come to him, then played the body and put them into the boards. Good leadership qualities.
European Under 18 champion 1985. Olympic champion 1994. Named twice on Sweden All-Star Team (1994 and 1996).
Three-time Swedish champion with Färjestad (1988, 1997 as team captain and 1998).
Retired in 2001. Worked briefly as an assistant coach in Sweden. Had a hockey school.

Défenseur sans éclat mais régulier, fiable, au positionnement sûr à le bleue. Faisait toujours passer l'intérêt de l'équipe avant le sien. Son physique (190cm, 88kg) l'incitait à laisser venir les attaquants adverses pour les travailler au corps dans les coins.
Champion d'Europe des moins de 18 ans 1985. Champion olympique 1994. Élu sur l'équipe-type suédoise de l'année en 1994 et 1996.
Triple champion avec Färjestad (1988, 1997 en tant que capitaine et 1998).
Cet équipier au rôle important dans le vestiaire arrête à 34 ans. Brièvement entraîneur-adjoint à Mora, il tient surtout une école de hockey.
43 points marqués (9+34) en 161 parties de saison régulière de NHL, principalement avec les Flames de Calgary (1989-91 et 1993-94).
