Began playing ice hockey at the age of nine. Highly touted as a junior and worked extremely hard, showing a great dedication to the game from a young age.
Retired in 1998. Member of the exclusive triple gold club, having won the Stanley Cup, the World Championships and the Olympics. Worked as an assistant coach for the Danish National Team.
Inducted into the IIHF Hockey Hall of Fame.

Commence le hockey à neuf ans. Très coté en junior, élu sur l'équipe-type du Mondial junior 1980.
Il travailla très dur et montra un grand dévouement au jeu dès le plus jeune âge.
Prit sa retraite en 1998. Un des membres les moins connus du "Triple Gold Club" qui réunit les vainqueurs de Coupe Stanley, de championnats du monde et de Jeux olympiques. Devint entraîneur-adjoint de l'équipe nationale danoise.
Introduit au Hall of Fame du hockey mondial.
344 points marqués (85+259) en 552 parties de saison régulière de NHL.
