Unspectacular but reliable two-way defenseman. Low-risk type of blueliner. Learned to play hockey in Cherepovets and made the move to the KHL as a 19-year old. Signed a contract in the NHL with the Florida Panthers in the summer of 2018. Traded him to Winnipeg even before the end of his first season.
Olympic champion 2018. Gagarin Cup champion 2022 with CSKA and 2025 with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl though he wasn't dressed in the playoffs. He ended his career at that time.
His father was a Soviet army veteran in Afghanistan War.

Défenseur offensif efficace et fiable avant tout. Pas du genre à faire des fantaisies. Lancé en KHL dès ses 19 ans par le Severstal Cherepovets en 2009. Il rejoint le CSKA Moscou en 2014. Il s'engage en NHL avec les Florida Panthers à l'été 2018. Envoyé chez les Winnipeg Jets avant même la fin de sa première saison en Amérique du Nord.
Champion olympique 2018. Vainqueur de la Coupe Gagarine en 2022 avec le CSKA, puis en 2025 avec le Lokomotiv Yaroslavl mais sans avoir été utilisé en playoffs. Il met alors un terme à sa carrière.
Son père est un vétéran de la guerre d'Afghanistan dans l'armée soviétique.
