Born in Jindřichův Hradec just northeast of České Budějovice.
Highly skilled forward with a dangerous offensive arsenal.
Powerful skater with a good wrist shot and above average passing. Useful on powerplays.
Had limited size and was defensively weaker. Drafted in the NHL by New York Rangers 2003.
Died when jet carrying the entire Yaroslavl Lokomotiv team crashed on takeoff.
His number 15 jersey was retired by the Czech National team and will never be worn again.
The local ice rink in his hometown is named after him and there is a yearly Memorial tournament played there in his honour.
Inducted into the Czech Hockey Hall of Fame

Patineur puissant avec un bon lancer du poignet et des aptitudes à la passe. Utile en supériorité.
D'une taille moyenne et avec des lacunes défensives. Drafté NHL par les Rangers de New York en 2003.
Il est décédé dans l'accident d'avion qui décima l'équipe du Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.
Son numéro 15 fut retiré de la sélection tchèque et ne sera plus jamais porté.
La patinoire de sa ville natale a été rebaptisé à son nom et un tournoi annuel s'y joue à sa mémoire.
Intronisé au temple de la renommée tchèque.
