Began playing ice hockey at the age of six. Heavy shot from the point.
An all-round defenseman with an ideal size for an NHL defenseman.
Able to lead a rush down the ice and move the puck with swift passing skills.
Always willing to play the body and also adept at playing on his off-side (right).
Sometimes put himself out of position and had to focus on positionally-sound hockey when in the defensive zone.
A bit inconsistent in the physical department, despite the size to be dominant.
Was the second youngest player ever (behind Marian Gáborík) in the Slovak Extraliga when he made his debut in 2001 at the age of 16 years, 1 month and 3 days.
Returned back to Europe in 2015 after having spent eleven seasons in North America.
