Older brother of Boris Mironov. Grew up admiring Vyacheslav Fetisov.
Not your typical fleet skating Russian defenseman. Average skater at best, but had an aggressive approach around the net.
Great first pass and useful on the powerplay. Booming shot.
Tall and strong. Good one-on-one. Suffered a concussion and broke his nose in his third NHL-game.
Retired 2001 and went on to live in Toronto. Worked as a junior coach in Toronto for a while where his son played.
Inducted into the Russian Hockey Hall of Fame.

Retraité en 2001, il s'installa à Toronto. Il a un temps été entraîneur de jeunes à Toronto, où jouait son fils.
Intronisé au temple de la renommée du hockey russe.
