Born and raised in Korkino.
Began playing hockey at the age of five thanks to his maternal grandfather, who had been a hockey player himself.
He first played hockey for Traktor Chelyabinsk (1997-2003), then Signal Chelyabinsk (2004), and Vityaz (2004-2008).
Small player with shifty moves. Good skater with high end skills. Really good shot.
Not very physical or particularly strong.
Was selected as the best forward at the 2017 World Championships and made the All-Star team.

Il a commencé à jouer au hockey à l'âge de cinq ans grâce à son grand-père maternel, qui fut lui-même hockeyeur.
Il a d'abord joué pour Traktor Chelyabinsk (1997-2003), puis pour Signal Chelyabinsk (2004) et pour Vityaz (2004-2008).
De petite taille et agile. Il patine efficacement et possède un excellent tir.
Ni très physique ni particulièrement fort.
Il a été sélectionné meilleur attaquant des Championnats du monde 2017, ainsi que dans l'équipe d'étoiles.
