Born in the South Moravian town of Vyškov. Began playing ice hockey at five and played his first games in Tábor.
Good sized (192 cm, 102 kg) stay-at-home defender never trying to be fancy.
Above average skater, useful on one-on-one situations and strong along the boards.
Very robust and an adequate passer but very limited offensively.
Represented Czech Republic 45 times (1 goal).
His father-in-law is longtime Czech Republic national team head coach Alois Hadamczik (but not when Barinka became world champion in 2010).
NHL totals: 34-0-2-2.

Né dans la ville de Vyškov en Moravie du Sud, il a commencé le hockey sur glace à 5 ans et a joué ses premiers matchs à Tábor.
Bon gabarit (1m92 et 102 kg) pour ce défenseur "casanier" qui n'a jamais essayé d'être fantaisiste.
Patineur au-dessus de la moyenne, utile dans les situations de un-contre-un et fort contre les bandes.
Très robuste et passeur appliqué mais très limité offensivement.
International tchèque 45 fois (1 but).
Son beau père est Alois Hadamczik, longtemps sélectionneur de la République Tchèque (mais pas l'année où Barinka est devenu champion du monde en 2010).
