Solid size (183 cm, 92 kg). A right-handed shot but with low scoring skills. Mostly a third pair defensive defenseman.
His father Andrea Gios was a former ice hockey player (48 games with Italian national team including B-Pool World Championships in 1985 and 1987) and an accounting PhD. He has been Mayor of Asiago from 2004 to 2014, then president of the FISG (Italian ice sports federation).
In 2014 Gregorio went to Finnish junior leagues to learn a more professional approach on ice hockey. He also played briefly in the USA, in Bolzano and Fassa.
When he came back to Asiago in 2021/22 he won both Alps Hockey league and Italian championship.
His father shot him in an hunting accident in October 2024.

Gabarit solide (183 cm, 92 kg). Il tire de la droite mais inscrit très peu de points. C'est principalement un défenseur défensif de troisième paire.
Son père Andrea Gios, ancien hockeyeur (48 sélections dont les Mondiaux B 1985 et 1987) et conseiller comptable titulaire d'un doctorat, a été Maire d'Asiago de 2004 à 2014 avant d'être élu président de la FISG (Fédération Italienne des Sports de Glace).
Au même moment, en 2014, Gregorio est parti dans les championnats juniors finlandais où il a appris une approche plus professionnelle du hockey sur glace. il a aussi brièvement joué aux États-Unis, à Bolzano et à Fassa.
Quand il est rentré à Asiago en 2021/22 il a remporté à la fois l'Alps HL et le championnat d'Italie.
Blessé dans un accident de chasse par son propre père en octobre 2024.
