Born in Norway but grew up in Sweden where his mother hailed from. Started playing ice hockey at the age of four. His first club was Kungsbacka Hockey.
Returned abroad in his twenties, first in France (Clermont-Ferrand) and then in the more familiar Sweden, but only stayed three seasons there before ending his career in his native Norway.
Goaltender who had plenty of experience in later years. Calm player covering the net well. Changed his style to butterfly. Left too many rebounds.
Announced his retirement from hockey on April 20, 2013. Worked as a carpenter for Dammyrbygg in Trosvik. He was also a very good BMX rider. He was a Swedish champion in that sport. Finished second and third in Scandinavia as well as being 8th at the European Championships. After his hockey career he resumed his cycling career (enduro).

Né en Norvège mais élevé en Suède, le pays de sa mère. Il débuta donc le hockey très tôt, à quatre ans, et fréquenta comme premier club le Kungsbacka Hockey.
Débutera en senior en Norvège mais fera à nouveau un tour en Suède en tant que hockeyeur pro, durant trois saisons, après un détour par Clermont-Ferrand. Finira ensuite sa carrière en Norvège, profitant de l'expérience accumulée pour devenir un cadre de son équipe national.
Gardien calme qui a transité vers un style papillon pour mieux couvrir son but. Laissait trop de rebonds.
Arrête le hockey le 20 avril 2013. Continue d'exercer le métier de charpentier pour l'entreprise Dammyr Bygg à Trosvik.
Dans sa jeunesse, il fut sacré champion de Suède, vice-champion de Scandinavie et 8e des championnats d'Europe de BMX. Après sa carrière de hockeyeur, il s'est remis au cyclisme, par l'enduro.
