Spent his entire junior and senior career in his hometown of Villach, except for his last season when he winded down in the Austrian 4th division in Spittal.
He became a mainstay in Villach senior team at only 17 in 1989/90.
Austrian champion 1992, 1993, 1999, 2002 ans 2006.
127 games with Austrian national team (14 goals, 9 assists).
Scored more than 600 points in almost 1000 games with Villach. His number 24 has been retired by VSV.
Retired in 2011. Became a hockey coach within Villacher SV.
His son Benjamin Lanzinger also played for Villach first team.

Il passa toute sa carrière de joueur - junior et senior - à Villach, à l'exception de sa dernière saison en 4e division autrichienne à Spittal.
Il est devenu titulaire en équipe première à 17 ans au cours de la saison 1989/90.
