He was born in Flint, but grew up in nearby Davison.
Very controlled player with a calm demeanor. Reliable defensive blueliner who seldom made any mistakes.
Played a safe game and seldom turned over the puck. His value to a team wasn’t measured in points.
Was an All-American at Bowling Green University.
In 1980 he became the first player ever to win an Olympic Gold and a Stanley Cup in the same year.
A knee injury forced him to retire in 1989. He had a stint as an assistant coach with the NY Islanders in 1991/92.
He became the Director of Pro Scouting with the NY Islanders.
Morrow became a President of KCIce, an Outdoor Ice Rink Development and Management company in Kansas City, MO.
Inducted into the US Hockey Hall of Fame.
