Second of three brothers, the youngest being Stéphane Da Costa. Son of a French father and Polish mother.
Technical and clever player with a hot temper.
Got involved in a fighting incident at 19 while playing inline-hockey with his older brother (Gabriel) in a team managed by his father.
Used his dual French/Polish citizenship to go to play in Polish league with Gabriel and escape the scandal.
Injured in training on first day of his first World Championships, he nevertheless became a regular on the French national team.

Cadet d'une fratrie dont le benjamin est Teddy Da Costa. Fils d'un père français et d'une mère polonaise.
Joueur technique et créatif avec un fort caractère.
Impliqué dans un incident à 19 ans en jouant au roller-hockey avec son frère aîné (Gabriel) et son père qui dirigeait l'équipe de Dammarie.
Il a utilisé sa double nationalité franco-polonaise pour aller jouer dans le championnat de Pologne avec Gabriel et échapper à la polémique.
Blessé à l'entraînement le premier jour de ce qui aurait dû être son premier Mondial, il s'est néanmoins imposé comme un cadre de l'équipe nationale.
