Known as a fast skater with a hard slapshot. Smart and creative with soft hands.
Often used on powerplays. Not particularly physical player, lacking both size and strength.
His sister died from illness when he was 19.
Joined Ambrì-Piotta in the beginning of his career to learn Italian. Speaks four languages.
Lost three finals with Kloten and became Swiss champion 2015 with Davos.
On November 15, 2020, he announced he would retire in the end of the season, at 37. He had undergone Achilles tendon surgery and was unsure he could play again before his retirement. He eventually could come back to play in the end of February.
Became an expert for Swiss German public television SRF.

Patineur rapide avec un slap puissant. Intelligent et créatif avec de bonnes mains.
Souvent utilisé en powerplay. Joueur pas particulièrement physique, manquant à la fois de taille et de force.
Sa sœur est décédée d'une maladie quand il avait 19 ans.
Il a rejoint Ambrì-Piotta en début de carrière pour apprendre l'italien. Il parle quatre langues.
Avec Kloten, il a perdu trois finales, avant de devenir champion de Suisse avec Davos en 2015.
Le 15 novembre 2020, il annonce sa retraite à la fin de la saison, à 37 ans. Il a alors été opéré du tendon d'Achille et n'est pas sûr de pouvoir rejouer de la saison. Il a finalement pu reprendre le jeu fin février.
Devenu expert pour la télévision publique suisse germanophone SRF.
