Older brother of Jonathan Ericsson. Began playing ice hockey at the age of eight. Able to play both as a center or winger.
Decent sized player with good intensity. Aggressive and tough. Pretty skilled player with good playmaking abilities.
World champion 2013. Swedish champion 2013 (MVP) and 2014. KHL champion 2015.
Retired in 2019. First player to have his number (#21) retired by Skellefteå AIK (in 2022).
He played fifteen years with this club, including six as captain.
Swedish elite league totals : 558-108-179-287 (playoffs : 129-40-31-71).

Retraité en 2019. Premier joueur à avoir eu son numéro de maillot (le n°21) retiré par le Skellefteå AIK (en 2022).
Il a joué quinze ans pour ce club, dont six comme capitaine.
