Won his first hockey tournament as a six year old. Talented defenseman able to log big minutes. Unique combination of size and speed.
Good skater for a player of his size (6-6 – 198cm, 220 lbs - 104kg). Good shutdown ability and good offensive upside, as well. Great physical skill-set, but not overly physical.
Only average positionally early on in his career. Good at moving the puck into the offensive end in high speed.
Shifty and creative and with the ability to stickhandle through heavy traffic. Above average shot from the point. Impressive reach over his opponents.
World champion 2017. Stanley Cup winner and playoff MVP in 2020.
Best defenceman in the NHL (Norris Trophy) in 2018.

Il a remporté son premier tournoi de hockey à six ans. Défenseur talentueux capable de jouer beaucoup de minutes. Combination unique de taille et de vitesse.
Bon patineur pour un joueur de son gabarit (198cm, 104kg). Bon défensivement et offensivement. Grandes capacités physiques, mais pas un jeu excessivement physique.
Son positionnement était juste moyen en début de carrière. Capable de porter le palet en zone offensive à grande vitesse. Malin et créatif avec la capacité de dribbler dans le trafic.
Son allonge impressionnante lui permet d'atteindre ses adversaires, mais lui confère également un impressionnant balancier qui donne de la puissance à son slap, sans rien perdre en précision.
Champion du monde 2017. Vainqueur de la Coupe Stanley et meilleur joueur des play-offs en 2020.
Meilleur défenseur de NHL (trophée Norris) en 2018.
