Came out of juniors as the most sought after player in the world.
A prototype of a modern power forward who had everything a team wanted in a player.
His hard-nosed style caused him to miss significant time with injuries, and he had many problems with concussions which eventually forced him to retire.
Was an Olympic All-Star in 1992, All-Star at the 1993 World Championships and also voted as the best forward of the tournament.
Announced his retirement on November 8, 2007.
Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
