He first played for Manglerud/Star before embarking on a 17-year career with Vålerenga IF.
Toughest player in the Norwegian league. Opponents hated to play against him but teammates loved to play with him. Known to play very physically and racked up more than 1500 penalty minutes in little over 500 games for Vålerenga.
He also scored 221 goals for them and was Norwegian champion 10 times.
Had a particularly strong season in 2003/04 when he was an All-Star in the league and winning the league championship.
He also scored the first five goals and assisted on the sixth at the 2004 Division I (Pool B) World Championships vs Hungary in a 6-4 win.
During his career he had a full-time job at Skovli Engros (wholesale). Announced his retirement on April 2, 2008.

D'abord apparu avec Manglerud/Star avant de connaître une carrière de 17 ans au sein du Vålerenga IF.
Une puissance brute. Joueur le plus physique du championnat norvégien, adoré de ses coéquipiers comme il était détesté de ses adversaires. Il a collecté plus de 1500 minutes de pénalité en un peu plus de 500 matchs avec Vålerenga.
Il y a également inscrit 221 buts et remporté 10 titres de champion de Norvège.
Son grand défaut est le manque de ponctualité.
Il a connu une grosse saison 2003/04 où il fut dans l'équipe étoile de la ligue et remporta le championnat.
Il a également marqué les cinq premiers buts et fut assistant sur le sixième lors du match des Mondiaux de division 1 (poule B) 2004 contre la Hongrie dans une victoire 6-4.
Pendant sa carrière il travaillait à plein temps pour Skovli Engros (vente en gros). Il annonca sa retraite le 2 avril 2008.
