Learnt to stop a defenceman with a deke before delivering a great pass.
Responsible defensively. Good at utilizing his speed and forecheck.
Known as a trash talker, which got him into trouble when he goal a 9-game suspension for a racist gesture in 2020.
He said practicing table tennis helped him to develop his hand/eye coordination.
He had a son - Henry - with his partner Carina Bogner, a field hockey player who was a member of German junior national team.

Intelligence de jeu et présence devant le but. Très bon aux engagements, qu'il voit comme un duel physique et mental.
Sa passe est géniale et il l'a rendue plus redoutable en apprenant à fixer au préalable le défenseur par une feinte.
Fiable et ordonné en zone défensive, il sait bien utiliser sa vitesse au forecheking.
Connu pour ses provocations verbales, il fut suspendu 9 rencontres pour un geste raciste en 2020.
Il dit que la pratique du tennis de table a développé sa coordination œil/main.
Sa compagne Carina Bogner - avec laquelle ils ont un fils prénommé Henry - est une joueuse de hockey sur gazon, internationale junior.
