Fast and talented forward. Excellent skating ability, allowing him to be rather tenacious on the forecheck.
Good playmaker but also with an underrated wrist shot.
As a junior he was more mature and aware defensively than most players his age.
In need of more muscle as a youngster, being rather lanky. This in order to sustain all the hard battles along the boards and in front of the goal.
Played on the left wing in his NHL first season with the New York Rangers, but prefers playing as a center.

Attaquant rapide et talentueux. Son excellent patinage lui permet d'être assez tenace au forecheck.
Bon créateur de jeu, mais qui dispose aussi d'un tir du poignet sous-estimé.
Quand il était junior, il était plus mature et avait plus de conscience défensive que la plupart des joueurs de son âge.
Jeune homme assez maigre, il a en revanche besoin de se muscler pour soutenir les batailles le long des bandes et devant le but.
Il a joué à l'aile gauche lors de sa première saison de NHL avec les New York Rangers, mais il se considère centre et préfère jouer à ce poste.
