Born in Moncalieri but grew up in Luserna San Giovanni. Grew up in a family of hockey players, as both his father and younger sister Eleonora played.
Played two seasons in North America with Omaha Lancers in the USHL. Solid physically and willing to take on defensive duties.
Also practiced alpine skiing, mountain bike and surf.

Piémontais né à Moncalieri et élevé dans la commune voisine de Luserna San Giovanni. Issu d'une dynastie de hockeyeurs, son père y a joué et sa soeur Eleonora pratique également.
Deux saisons, entre ses 19 et 21 ans, chez les Omaha Lancers en ligue junior des États-Unis. Joueur solide physiquement, pas rebuté par les tâches défensives.
Il pratique le sli alpin, le VTT et le surf.
