Lanky and tall defenseman with an offensive upside. Good skater for a player of his size.
Confident with the puck with the ability to transport the puck quickly out of his zone.
Good passer and excellent on ice vision.
Trouble sometimes with his defensive positioning and decision making.
Won the WHL championship with Edmonton Oil Kings as a junior. Drafted in the NHL by Edmonton Oilers 2011.
Played in the AHL and ECHL before becoming a major defenceman in the Czech Extraliga.
Olympic bronze medalist 2022. His later calls into the national team stirred some controversy because the went to the KHL during the war in Ukraine.

Défenseur grand et longiligne avec une vocation offensive. Bon patineur pour un joueur de cette taille.
Confiant avec la rondelle avec la capacité de sortir rapidement le palet de sa zone.
Bon passeur avec une excellente vision de la glace.
Quelques problèmes dans son positionnement en défense et dans ses prises de décision.
Vainqueur de la Ligue Junior Majeur de l'Ouest avec les Oil Kings d’Edmonton.
Drafté par les Oilers d’Edmonton en 2011, il joue dans leurs filiales d'AHL et d'ECHL avant de devenir un défenseur majeur en Extraliga tchèque.
Médaillé de bronze olympique 2022. Sélectionné plus sporadiquement par la suite car son départ en KHL pendant la guerre en Ukraine fait débat.
