Son of Ivo Jan and Bogo Jan's nephew. Gritty and hardworking forward who didn't budge when the game got rough. His take-no-prisoners style of play allowed him to collect a lot of points as well as PIMs.
Selected in the junior national team of what was then Yugoslavia. Major contributor, after Slovenian independence, to its ascend from a third-tier to an elite nation.
Had a globe-trotting career (Finland, Italy, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Sweden, North America as well as Slovenia). Almost 900 points in a little more than 700 official games. Retired in 2011 to become a coach. Took over Slovenian national team in August 2018.

Fils d'Ivo Jan et neveu de Bogo Jan, ce centre teigneux et travailleur appréciait les matches heurtés, un style de jeu qui lui valut beaucoup de points et de pénalités.
Déjà sélectionné en équipe nationale junior du temps de la Yougoslavie, il a accompagné la Slovénie nouvellement indépendante du mondial C vers l'élite.
Sa carrière en club fut très mouvementée. Principalement passée en Slovénie, elle l'amena en Finlande, en Suède, en Italie, en Allemagne, en Autriche et même en Amérique du Nord. Un peu plus de 900 points en 700 matches. Prit sa retraite en 2011 pour devenir entraîneur. Sélectionneur nationale de l'équipe de Slovénie à partir d'août 2018.
