Smallish and gutsy, two-way left winger. Very good skater with fine speed and acceleration.
Ability to beat a defender to the outside and then go straight to the net.
Good wrist shot and release. Decent playmaking skills, especially in tight areas.
At 9, Marc chose to wear number 17 because he was a fan of Jochen Hecht. He even wrote a letter to America to ask him for a signed photo. Fifteen years later, he became the second Mannheim-born-and-trained player to sign a NHL contract... after Hecht.
He played 15 games for the Vancouver Canucks in 2020/21 (0 point) but spent most of this COVID-19-ridden-season in the so-called taxi squad.
During a Swiss National League game in February 2023 he felt acute pain in the right arm. Langnau team doctor feared thrombosis, which was confirmer in Zurich hospital. He had three surgeries and had to miss ice hockey during four months because of anticoagulant therapy.

Ailier gauche petit mais courageux qui travaille dans les deux sens de la glace. Très bon patineur.
Avec ses qualités d'accélération, il sait déborder son défenseur par l'extérieur puis repiquer à la cage.
Bon tir du poignet au déclenchement rapide. Des aptitudes de créateur de jeu, surtout dans les petits espaces.

En février 2023, il se plaint de fortes douleurs au bras droit lors d'un match de championnat suisse. Le médecin de son équipe de Langnau soupçonne une thrombose, diagnostic bientôt confirmé à l'hôpital universitaire de Zurich. Il subit trois opérations, dont une pour éloigner une côte afin de mieux laisser passer le flux sanguin, et doit arrêter le hockey pendant quatre mois pour prendre des anticoagulants.
