His older brothers Urban & Jörgen played hockey at a high level and taught him his famous penalty shot when he lobed Martin Gerber in 2009. Swedish national team coaches were laughing on the bench, Swiss goaltender wasn't.
Another hockey player in his family was his cousin Daniel Henriksson, World Champion in 2006.
Player with high-end skills. Soft hands and great stick technique. Creative and agile player with plenty of natural scoring ability.
Smart player and a good skater. Able to walk on the puck to separate from his defenceman, a move he taught his linemate Hartikainen in Geneva.
Fairly one-dimensional in his play, thriving under heavy workload. Outspoken individual that often did things his way.
Spent three years in North America but never caught on in the NHL. Swiss league top scorer 2013. Swedish forward of the year 2016.
World champion 2017. Swiss champion 2023 with Genève-Servette. Swedish champion 2025 with Luleå.
Came back to his home club Övertorneå (fifth Swedish level) in November 2025 with his old friend Johan Harju.

C'est avec ses grands frères Urban et Jörgen, également hockeyeurs de haut niveau, qu'il a appris le pénalty qui a fait sa légende, un lob qui a fait rire les entraîneurs de Tre Kronor mais beaucoup moins le gardien suisse Martin Gerber.
Un autre joueur de hockey dans sa famille fut son cousin Daniel Henriksson, qui fut champion du monde en 2006.
Un magicien avec des mains haut de gamme et une excellente technique de crosse. Intelligent, créatif et agile avec des capacités offensives naturelles.
Patinage gracieux. Capable de bloquer le palet sous son patin pour son défaire du marquage, un geste technique qu'il apprendra à son compagnon de ligne à Genève Hartikainen.
Son jeu assez unidimensionnel prend tout son ampleur avec un temps de glace élevé. Personnalité autodidacte avec un vrai franc-parler.
Meilleur marqueur de LNA suisse 2013. Attaquant suédois de l'année 2016.
Champion du monde 2017. Champion de Suisse 2023 avec Genève-Servette. Champion de Suède 2025 avec Luleå.
Après un bref contrat à Lugano (11 points en 15 parties) il retourne jouer en novembre 2025 dans son club d'origine Övertorneå en cinquième division suédoise avec son vieux complice Johan Harju.
32 points (8+24) en 79 parties de saison régulière en NHL, pendant ses trois ans à Edmonton et Buffalo.
