A workhorse who digs out pucks and uses his big size (186 cm, 91 kg) to create havoc and screen the goaltender. Average skater.
He became father from a young son Batyr at only 22 in January 2019.
Named captain of Kazakhstan for the first time at 24 before the 2021 World Championships. Led the team to his best-ever finish (9th).
Injured in the first game in the 2023 tournament. Only Kazakh player with a positive +/- (+2) at 2024 Worlds.

Devenu papa d'un fils prénommé Batyr à seulement 22 ans en janvier 2019.
Nommé capitaine du Kazakhstan pour la première fois à 24 ans juste avant les championnats du monde 2021, il a conduit son équipe à la meilleure place de son histoire (9e).
Blessé au bras droit au premier match du tournoi 2023. Seul joueur du Kazakshtan avec une fiche positive lors du Mondial 2024 (+2).
