His father Jan was a goalie in the Finnish SM-Liiga for 15 seasons, including 11 with IFK Helsinki (HIFK).
On January 9, 2020, Jan Lundell became the oldest player to play in the Finnish League at the age of 46 when he suited up for HIFK against SaiPa with 1:06 left. In that game he played alongside his son Anton.
As a junior Anton Lundell was mature beyond his years on the ice, playing purposefully and organized.
Good understanding of the game, often thinking several steps ahead of his opponents. Eager learner. Positionally sound.
Not flashy or a particularly good skater. Not afraid to get his nose dirty in the corners and other puck battles.
Helped Finland win both the U-18 (2018) and U-20 (2019) World Championships.
Had Pavel Datsyuk and Aleksander Barkov as role models in younger years.
Won 2024 Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers - and with Barkov.

Le 9 janvier 2020, Jan Lundell est devenu le vieux joueur du championnat finlandais à 46 ans en rentrant à 1'06" de la fin contre SaiPa. L'objectif étaut de jouer ce match avec son fils Anton.
En junior, Anton Lundell était plus mature que son âge sur la glace, jouant de façon résolue et organisée.
Doté d'une bonne compréhension du jeu, il pense avec plusieurs coups d'avance sur ses adversaires. Il aime apprendre et a un positionnement sûr.
Ni spectaculaire, ni particulièrement bon patineur. Il n'a pas peur d'aller dans les coins et dans les duels.
Champion du monde avec la Finlande en moins de 18 ans (2018) et en moins de 20 ans (2019).
Pavel Datsyuk et Aleksander Barkov étaient ses modèles de jeunesse.
Vainqueur de la Coupe Stanley 2024 avec les Panthers de Floride, et avec Barkov.
