Small and pretty light. Very talented player, crafty with the puck on his stick. Sniping ability and good hunch in prime goal-scoring areas. Dangerous one-on-one. His skating lacks some explosiveness. Not great defensively.
Got his primary hockey education in Liepaja. Moved to Norway at the age of 14 thanks to his teammate Maksims Ponomarenko's father. His parents and his two younger sisters followed him afterwards. The family went back to Latvia but Rudolfs came every summer to Norway - his girlfriend's country.
Denis Malgin helped him to plan his secret wedding's proposal in Sweden.
Norwegian champion 2015 and 2016 with Stavanger before going to Canada and scoring 40 goals in his only WHL season.
Swiss champion 2024 and 2025 with Zurich. CHL winner 2025 with Zurich.
Speaks five languages: Latvian, Russian, Norwegian, Swedish and English.

Petit et assez léger (180 cm, 79 kg). Joueur très talentueux et astucieux avec le palet dans sa crosse.
Buteur doté d'une bonne intuition dans les zones de but. Dangereux en un contre un.
Son patinage manque un peu d'explosivité. Il n'excelle pas sur le plan défensif.
Parti à 14 ans à Lørenskog (Norvège) à l'essai avec son coéquipier Maksims Ponomarenko grâce au père de celui-ci. Ses parents et ses deux jeunes sœurs l'ont rejoint ensuite. Ils sont repartis par la suite en Lettonie mais Rudolfs passe toujours l'été en Norvège, le pays de sa compagne.
Sa demande en mariage a été organisée en Suède avec l'aide de Denis Malgin qui a servi d'appât.
Champion de Norvège 2015 et 2016 avec Stavanger, il est parti au Canada pour inscrire 40 buts à sa seule saison en junior majeur.
Champion de Suisse en 2024 et 2025, mais aussi champion d'Europe 2025 avec Zurich.
Il parle cinq langues : letton, russe, norvégien, suédois et anglais.
