Like many other top players from Kazakhstan he got his start with Barys Astana.
As a junior he presented himself as a swift skating and mobile offensive defenseman.
Liked to join the rush. Above average shot.
Before the start of the 2021/2022 season, Orekhov was supposed to represent HPK Hämeenlinna od the Finnish SM-Liiga. A few days after the announcement of him signing a contract, his agent announced that Oreshkov would not be coming to Finland.
Instead he joined Metallurg Magnitogorsk one year later and became Russian champion 2024.

Comme beaucoup des jeunes talents du Kazakhstan, il fit ses débuts seniors avec le Barys Astana.
En junior il s'est développé comme un patineur fin et un défenseur offensif mobile.
Il aime rejoindre l'offensive car il est fort techniquement avec un bon tir. Encore perfectible défensivement.
International avec le Kazakhstan dans toutes les catégories d'âge.
Avant le début de saison 2021/2022, Orekhov devait rejoindre le HPK Hämeenlinna en SM-Liiga finlandaise. Mais peu de temps après l'annonce de la signature de contrat, son agent annonça qu'il ne rejoindra finalement pas la Finlande.
Au lieu de ça, il rejoint le Metallurg Magnitogorsk l'année suivante et champion de Russie 2024.
