He was born in Giubiasco, just 50 km (31 mi) from Ambrì-Piotta’s home arena, a team that he already represented as a junior, but he first played youth hockey for GDT Bellinzona.
He went to see Ambrì’s games as a little kid and always dreamt of playing for them. Played one year of junior hockey in Canada.
He tried to earn an NHL-spot in Carolina 2018/19, but didn’t catch on and was placed on unconditional waivers, returning back to Switzerland.
A player with strong leadership qualities. Very strong in weightlifting and physical exercises. Average technical skills.
His lack of mobility cost him a few penalties because he is a bit late.

Né à Giubiasco, à 50 kilomètres de la patinoire d'Ambrì-Piotta, une équipe dont il portait déjà les couleurs en junior même s'il a commencé le hockey au GDT Bellinzona.
Il allait voir les matchs d'Ambrì quand il était enfant et a toujours rêvé d'intégrer l'équipe. Il a joué une année de hockey junior au Canada.
Il a essayé de gagner sa place en NHL avec Carolina en 2018/19, mais n'a pu y parvenir et a été libéré, retournant en Suisse.
Très fort en musculation avec de fortes qualités de meneur, même s'il n'est pas le meilleur techniquement.
Son manque de mobilité lui coûte parfois des pénalités car il a un temps de retard.
