A bit undersized. As a junior he was compared to Mats Zuccarello Aasen. Moved to Sweden in 2010 to improve his hockey skills.
Good skillset. Intense player, but not a natural finisher. Did not shoot enough as a junior.
Sometimes sloppy defensively. He became a more complete player when getting older, with a better body language.
Named on Norwegian league all-star team 2024/25 when he captained Storhamar.
Hired as Frisk Asker captain the next season. Recalled to Norway's national team at 33 after a two-year hiatus by Sjur Robert Nilsen who was also his club coach. The list was published on October 21, 2025, but four days later Haga wrote : "It felt very good, but in retrospect I have declined to participate. I'm getting older and I have two children who I want to prioritize a little more time with. I don't have the same hunger to go away as I did before. With so many young players coming up, things should go well. There are many people who are both as good and better than me that he can take from."

Joueur assez petit (1m78), comparé en junior à Mats Zuccarello Aasen. Parti en Suède à 18 ans pour s'améliorer.
Bon éventail technique. Joueur intense, mais pas un finisseur naturel. Ne tirait pas assez au but en junior.
Parfois négligent sur le plan défensif, mais devenu plus complet avec l'âge, avec également un meilleur langage corporel.
Nommé sur l'équipe-type du championnat norvégien 2024/25 alors qu'il est capitaine de Storhamar.
Recruté alors comme capitaine de Frisk Asker, il est rappelé à 33 ans après deux années d'absence au sein de la sélection nationale désormais entraînée par son coach de club Sjur Robert Nilsen. La liste est publiée le 21 octobre 2025, mais quatre jours plus tard, Haga publie ce message : "C'est très agréable, mais y repensant j'ai décliné ma participation. Je deviens plus vieux et j'ai deux enfants que je veux prioriser en passant un peu plus de temps avec eux. Je n'ai plus la même envie qu'avant de partir. Avec autant de jeunes qui arrivent, cela devrait bien se passer. [Nilsen] a beaucoup de gens aussi bons ou meilleurs que moi qu'il peut choisir."
