Older brother of Anders Poulsen.
Talented winger who played senior ice hockey at the age of 16.
Hard working winger with a great attitude towards the game, which is somewhat of a family trait, as his brother shared the same hard work ethic.
Above average offensive instincts.
Won three Danish league championships before his 23rd birthday.
Poulsen spent seven straight seasons playing abroad, four years in Sweden, two in Austria and one in Finland.
Returned back to Denmark, playing for his native Herning, captaining the team.
