Started ice hockey as a center. His coach, who was also his father, turned him into a defenceman when he was 13.
Often used to quarterback the powerplays with his accurate wrist shot.
Good mobility and hockey sense. Crisp first outlet pass from his own end.
Could get outmuscled in front of his own goal by bigger powerforwards.
Sometimes not determined enough in his own zone.

Il a débuté au poste de centre. À 13 ans, son entraîneur, qui n'était autre que son père, l'a fait passer en défense.
Souvent utilisé pour mener le jeu de puissance avec son tir du poignet précis.
Bonne mobilité et sens du jeu avisé. Belles relances en sortie de zone.
Peut être battu musculairement devant son propre but par des attaquants plus puissants.
Parfois pas assez déterminé dans sa zone.
