Player of Armenian descent with a strong sporting background in his family.
His grandfather boxed and his father was good in athletics and a gym teacher.
Manavian first played street hockey but his father got him to try ice hockey and he loved it.
Good sized defenseman at 193 cm / 6'3 and weighing more than 100 kg / 220 lbs.
Won eleven championship titles between 2007 and 2019, including four league titles.
A tough guy playing with an edge. Impulsive player but always a team first guy at all times.
Ok skater and defensively responsible. Good shot from the point and useful on powerplays.
Before his fourth Olympic qualification tournament in 2021, he announced his teammates he would retire if France didn't qualify for Beijing OG. Thus he hung up his skates at 34 on August 29, 2021 after 211 games with French national team and 34 points (14+20).

Joueur d'origine arménienne et sportive. Son grand-père était boxeur et son père professeur d'EPS et doué en athlétisme.
Manavian pratiqua d'abord le street hockey mais son père lui fit tenter le hockey sur glace qui obtint ses faveurs.
Défenseur de gros gabarit : 1m93 pour plus de 100 kg.
Il remporta onze titres entre 2007 et 2019, dont quatre championnats de France.
Il joua également au Canada, aux États-Unis, en Autriche, en Hongrie et Croatie.
Un dur à cuire. Joueur impulsif mais excellent coéquipier qui fait passer l'intérêt collectif en premier.
Patineur correct, responsable défensivement. Un bon lancer, utile en supériorité numérique.
Avant le tournoi de qualification pour les Jeux olympiques 2022, il a annoncé à ses coéquipiers qu'il prendrait sa retraite en cas d'échec. Il a donc raccroché les patins le 29 août 2021 après 211 sélections en équipe de France durant lesquelles il a marqué 34 points (14+20).
