Smaller forward (175 cm) relying on his speed and quickness. Fine technical skills. Hard and accurate one-timer.
Grew up playing hockey in his hometown of Celje. His younger brother Tim also played hockey. Moved to Ljubljana and the suburb of Vevče where he got to play in the senior Slovenian hockey league for HK Alfa. It also earned him a spot on the junior national team.
Emerged in the Austrian league with Olimpija Ljubljana and became their second scorer in 2012/13. He earned a spot in Slovenian national team only after he switched to the French league where he played for Gamyo Épinal. League finalist in his first year and playoff top scorer in his second year. Then he scored the game-winning-goal in key game vs Austria to go back to the elite and went on to play in Austrian clubs, Graz and (from 2024)à Linz.

Attaquant de petit gabarit (1m75) qui s'appuie sur sa vitesse et sa rapidité de geste. Belle dextérité technique. Son tir sur réception est aussi puissant que précis.
Il quitte sa ville natale Celje à 16 ans pour les environs de Ljubljana, à Vevče, où il débute en sénior dans le championnat slovène pour le HK Alfa. C'est ainsi qu'il fut appelé en équipe nationale junior. Son frère cadet Tim est également joueur de hockey.
Il découvre la ligue autrichienne avec l'Olimpija Ljubljana et en devient le deuxième marqueur en 2012/13, mais c'est pendant ses deux saisons dans le championnat de France qu'il devient titulaire en équipe de Slovénie. Il y connaît la réussite collective en atteignant la finale à sa première saison au Gamyo d'Épinal, puis la réussite individuelle en étant meilleur marqueur des play-offs l'année suivante. Il transpose cette efficacité accrue dans sa sélection nationale en marquant le but gagnant lors du match décisif pour la remontée dans l'élite mondiale face à l'Autriche. Il part alors jouer pour des clubs autrichiens, à Graz puis à Linz.
