Athlète agile au redoutable coup de patin, rapide et solide sur ses appuis. Bon relanceur et inspirateur offensif depuis l'arrière. Confiant en lui, il n'hésite pas à mener ses partenaires. Sa lecture du jeu permet de le solliciter dans toutes les situations de jeu. Complet et fiable. Bon pour bloquer les tirs.
Au championnat du monde 2016 à Moscou, sa femme commence à accoucher pendant qu'il joue son dernier match. Il enlève son maillot à la fin et part directement sans même avoir le temps de dire au revoir à ses coéquipiers.
