Older brother of Kim Sang-wook. Average size (177 cm).
Combination of refined skills and endurance. A practice bug who never took a day off.
In his first year with Yonsei University in 2005 he gained six trophies - a record - including the goalscoring award and the best passer award.
In his first pro season (2008/09) playing in the Asia League, he won the "Young guy of the year" award, given to the Rookie of the year.
Six-time Asian league champion (2010, 2011, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2023) with Anyang Halla. Regular season MVP in 2015.
Retired in 2023 to become Anyang assistant coach. Holds Korean records for World championship games and points.

Réputé pour s'entraîner sans relâche sans jour de congé, il allie technique sophistiquée et endurance.
Dès sa première année à l'Université Yonsei, en 2005, il bat tous les records en remportant six trophées dont celui de meilleur buteur et de meilleur passeur.
Élu meilleur jeune lors de ses débuts dans la Ligue asiatique en 2009.
Il a participé à un camp de prospects des Islanders de New York dès 2003 et a passé deux ans à l'étranger sans percer.
Sextuple champion de Ligue asiatique (2010, 2011, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2023) avec Anyang Halla. Meilleur joueur de saison régulière en 2015.
Il prend sa retraite en 2023 et devient entraîneur-adjoint d'Anyang. Recordman coréen des points marqués en compétition internationale.
